Hotel Quite Acceptable, University District, Seattle.
The Morning View…

A lobby call at 09.45 for 10.00 arrival at Jupiter Studio…

The Slow Music director is Bill Rieflin, who has assembled quite a team: Peter Buck & Fred Chalenor & Matt Chamberlain & Robert Fripp & Bill Rieflin & Hector Zazou.
The Director…

The Director & Hector & Peter…

Morning & lunchtime on set-up; then three takes of 45-60 minutes each.
Prior to the last set, the Director gave me permission to leave slightly ahead of the end of recording to visit the Tuning The Air performance. This is the location-based performance project of the Seattle Guitar Craft Circle. My driver didn’t like the directions he was given & chose a new and better way. We got lost. This would have resulted in Robert entering a Guitar Craft performance late: not very late, but late. If there is one person who cannot enter a Guitar Craft event late, it’s Robert. We came home. I was disappointed, and pissed.
